Section 181-97-010. Definitions.

  • (1) The term "teacher educator" means: A person employed by a college or university with a professional educator standards board approved teacher preparation program who serves as a faculty member or administrator in the approved teacher education program.
    (2) The term "professional education advisory board" means: One of the professional education advisory boards approved by the professional educator standards board as defined in WAC 181-78A-075(1) (Professional education advisory board for teacher preparation programs).
    (3) The term "educational grant" means an amount not exceeding two thousand five hundred dollars for a professional education advisory board which shall be awarded by the professional educator standards board upon receipt of a grant application identifying the educational purpose for which the grant will be used, submitted pursuant to WAC 181-97-080. The professional education advisory board shall use the educational grant funds to enhance the recipient's competencies.
