- Objectives of the WA ELAP are to:• Assure accredited laboratories have a demonstrated capability to accurately and defensibly analyze environmental samples;• Assist environmental laboratories in improving their quality assurance/quality control procedures; and• Foster cooperation between the state departments of ecology and health, local agencies, other users of environmental data, and operators of environmental laboratories.[Statutory Authority: RCW 43.21A.230, 43.20.050 and 2009 c 564 § 301.
