Section 173-422-035. Registration requirements.

- (1) Persons residing in emission contributing areas as defined under WAC 173-422-050 shall register their motor vehicles within that area.(2) Any person who violates this section shall reregister their motor vehicle within the emission contributing area, obtain a certificate of compliance or acceptance within thirty days, and is subject to a civil penalty not to exceed two hundred fifty dollars for each violation.(3) Any civil penalty imposed by the department hereunder shall be appealable to the pollution control hearings board as provided for in chapter 43.21B RCW.[Statutory Authority: Chapter 70.120 RCW.
