- The provisions of this part implement the requirements of chapter 90.58 RCW, the Shoreline Management Act. Specifically, RCW 90.58.200 authorizes the adoption of rules as necessary to implement the provisions of the act and RCW 90.58.140(3) requires that the department adopt rules for administration and enforcement of the permit system established by the act.[Statutory Authority: RCW 90.58.140(3) and [90.58].200.
