Section 170-295-3210. How do I safely thaw foods?

  • You must thaw food by one of the following methods:
    (1) In a refrigerator;
    (2) Under cool running water, in a pan placed in a sink with the stopper removed;
    (3) In a microwave, if the food is to be cooked immediately; or
    (4) As part of the continuous cooking process.
