Section 16-465-030. Handling and shipment of official samples.

- (1) A sample shall consist of a minimum of three to five tubers and/or affected stems or root systems.(2) Lower stems and root systems shall be placed in a dry plastic bag for transportation.(3) Affected tubers shall be wrapped in dry newspapers and placed in a box.(4) Official sample and reporting form delivered to the state plant pathologist for diagnosis will be in a container sealed with a Washington state department of agriculture seal.(5) Keep sample cool and deliver promptly to the state plant pathologist designated by the Washington state department of agriculture.[Order 1138, § 16-465-030, filed 2/2/70.]
