Section 16-301-245. Annual bluegrass quarantine—Establishing quarantine.

- The seeds of the weed known as annual bluegrass, Poa annua and its known strains, hereinafter referred to as annual bluegrass, are objectionable in turf grass seed; therefore, an annual bluegrass quarantine is established to prevent the introduction of annual bluegrass into grass seed production areas, to control seed stocks to be planted for further seed increase, and to assure grass seed growers of a source of seed stock for planting purposes which is tested for presence of annual bluegrass.[Statutory Authority: RCW 15.49.005, 15.49.081, 15.49.310, 15.49.370(3), and 17.24.021, and chapter 34.05 RCW.
