- These protections apply to students attending any class at WVC(1) Student performance shall be evaluated solely on an academic basis (which may include attendance), not on the opinions or conduct in matters unrelated to academic standards.(2) Students are expected to attend classes for which they are registered. When absence occurs because of illness or other urgent reasons, including hazardous weather conditions, it is the obligation of the student to COMPLETE makeup work deemed necessary by the instructor(3) Students shall have the right to appeal their academic evaluation. At the same time, they are responsible for maintaining standards of academic performance established for each course in which they are enrolled.[Statutory Authority: Chapter 28B.50 RCW.
