Section 132K-126-050. Jurisdiction of the college.

  • (1) Scope. The code shall apply to every student whenever the student is present upon or in any college premises, and whenever the student is present at or engaged in any college sponsored offering, event or activity held in noncollege facilities, to include distance learning options. It shall also apply to students who are engaged in official college training and/or activities including places of training internships, cooperative education, practicums or supervised work experiences, trips, conferences, and retreats.
    (2) Remedies not exclusive. The remedies provided for in this code are not exclusive. Seeking or obtaining any remedies under this code is not intended to bar the college, the complainant, or any other person or entity from seeking or obtaining such other remedies as may be available under other college policies, or in any other forum under applicable civil or criminal law.
